Prerequisite: Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in CP Biology or NGSS Biology.

Recommended: It is highly recommended that students earn a B or better in the prerequisite course. Students should consult their current teacher for placement recommendation.

This course considers the structural and functional interrelationships of the systems in the human body. The course includes class discussions, numerous labs, extensive work with slides, models, and charts, and two or three major mammalian dissections.  Special emphasis is placed on medical terminology, common diseases and disorders, and genetics.  This is an ideal course for those who intend to pursue a medically related career or who are simply interested in a better understanding of the human body.
