UC/CSU – Laboratory Science (“d”)
Environmental Science is a college-level course designed to meet the
requirement of the advanced placement curriculum as defined by the College
Board. The goal of this course is to
provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies to
understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze
environmental problems natural and human made and evaluate these problems and
examine alternative solutions. APES is
designed to prepare students for the AP exam in the spring. Students should have strong math skills and
an interest in pursuing science as a major in college.
