At-Home Tests for Students
The RJUHSD is continuing to build upon existing efforts to keep schools safe as the next term begins by providing no-cost, at-home COVID-19 antigen tests for each student in the district. At-home tests are only available for students at this time.
These free testing kits will be available for pick up by RJUHSD students on January 10, 2022. Tests can be picked up between 8am and 3pm on Monday the 10th (Drive up pick up stations will be located in front of each school’s main administration building). Each student will receive one testing kit (contains two antigen tests) that students can self-administer.
With each testing kit, students will receive directions for properly administering the test as well as directions for submitting results to the CDPH website. While CDPH highly recommends that individuals test prior to returning to school, there is no requirement to have a documented negative test prior to returning to school. Directions on reporting a positive case are attached and will also be provided with the testing materials. Individuals receiving positive results should isolate in accordance with current CDPH guidelines.
For students unable to pick up a test kit on January 10th, testing kits will be available for pick up in the quad on Tuesday the 11th (Before school, during passing periods, at lunch and at the end of the school day). After the 11th, remaining test kids will be made available to students on a first come first serve basis. We want every student to have an opportunity to have an at-home test if they would like.
Additional information regarding COVID test kits, quarantining, weekly testing options, and general information regarding COVID 19 can be found at the CDPH website as well as the RJUHSD website, at www.rjuhsd.us/covid19.
