What do I need to do for entering into a Junior College?
Applications for most CA Community Colleges open in the Fall of your senior year for admission to the fall term of the next school year. For Spring admissions, please view the individual websites of the colleges you'd like to attend. Information about a college's specific requirements and application process can also be found on their website.
You do not need to take the SAT or ACT for admissions to CA Community College, but some community colleges may waive assessment tests based on SAT or ACT scores. Check the college's website for more details.
Please apply for the FASFA (no matter family income) to be eligible for the "Two Years Free" program. FASFA opens in October of each year during 1st semester senior year and should be completed by March 2nd of the following year. Missing the March 2nd deadline may result in ineligibility for the "Two Years Free" program.
