It's important to remember that there are safe, responsible ways to end the night. A list of establishments that will be open following the dance has been posted on the Woodcreek High School Instagram account. Please think before you drink-- Don't participate in underage drinking or drive under the influence!

California Scholarship Federation is now accepting applications for the Spring 23 term. You will use your grades from last term only, Fall 22 (quarter 1 and 2) to qualify. If you have questions, please speak with Mrs. McGrath in room 438. The application is linked below. Applications are due Friday January 27 at 3:30 pm. Speech & Debate ~ Congratulations to the following speech and debate competitors for an outstanding performance at the MLK Jr. Invitational in Union City: Nia Sanders (Finalist, 4th place), Chloe Van Leerdam (semi-finalist), Amira Hanna (quarter-finalist), and Amina Smati (quarter-finalist).
Audition for the Me-One Talent Show: Do you have a talent or skill? Share it with the community by auditioning for the Me-One talent show, hosted by National Honors Society. Me-One is a foundation that holds camp retreats for cancer patients and their families. The show will be Friday, February 17th. Auditions will be held Wednesday, February 1st after school until 5pm. And don’t forget to fill out the interest form!
Attention Seniors ~ Class of 2023: The personal finance course is a GRADUATION REQUIREMENT and must be completed before May, including the final exam. The course is running on Canvas, you will have to complete all 4 modules with a passing score on the unit quizzes, then sign up for a time Wednesdays after school in room 123 through the google form link in Canvas. You need to take the final exam in person to pass the course. If you have any questions, see Mr. Shiro in room 123.
► Athletics: ATHLETIC CLEARANCE
Athlete of the Week: The athlete of the week is Cole Grigsby. He's the team captain and just an overall great wrestler. He's deeply invested in the team and the sport, spending many extra hours practicing and bettering himself. He works hard in the classroom, as well. Maintaining a current 4.0 GPA, with an overall GPA of 3.75. He has no problem volunteering his time to help others, and will do so with no hesitation. Congrats to Cole and Go Creek!
Lacrosse (Boys) Registration for the 2023 season conditioning and tryouts is now open! Please click on the link to register by Friday, January 20th. Register HERE. The player/parent info meeting will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 5:30 pm (location TBA). All players must be cleared for lacrosse prior to conditioning or tryouts. Click here to submit your athletic clearance; if you need assistance, please contact Ms. Souza at (916) 771-6565 ext: 4015. ALL Players should bring water, sticks, cleats, helmets, and gloves and be ready to work hard! Gloves and helmets will be available to check out for new players.
Women's lacrosse: Interested in playing lacrosse? Be sure to attend the women's lacrosse information meeting on Monday, January 23rd from 3:30-4:30 pm in room 418. For new and returning players! Meet the coaches, learn about tryouts, the schedule, fundraising and more! If you have Questions email lacrossewoodcreek@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram. Preseason Conditioning - Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - from 4pm to 6pm in the weight room. No experience necessary.
Track and Field: Preseason practices are Monday and Wednesday from 3:40-4:40pm until February 6th. First official practice: February 6th from 3:40-5:20 pm Mon-Friday. January Club of the Month: January's Club of the Month is Key Club! Key Club does so much for the community! They serve local schools and communities through volunteer work and fundraise for non-profits. They are currently selling Aurora Candy Grams for $4 during 1st and 2nd lunch from January 11th to 18th. If you're looking for a cute surprise for your friends or for your date, this is perfect! If you're interested in contributing to your community volunteering and fundraising this is the club for you!
