WHS Theatre Arts Presents “Once Upon a Mattress”; a musical comedy with music by Mary Rodgers, lyrics by Marshall Barer. In this musical version of The Princess and the Pea, Princess Winnifred is an ungainly, brash girl competing for the hand of Prince Dauntless, whose domineering mother Queen Aggravain has declared he must marry a "true" princess before anyone else in the kingdom can marry. Join us on October 28th, 29th, November 2nd, 3rd or 4th at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10 and sold online only at bit.ly/whsarts.
Anti-Bullying Week: It's anti-bullying week! This is a time to raise awareness of the bullying of young people in schools and to highlight ways to prevent and respond to it. We will have lunch time activities in the quad TODAY (10/28) Look out for posts on our Instagram!
Monster Monday: Monday, October 31st will be Monster Monday, so wear your halloween costume to school, and be part of the fun! No full-face masks or toy weapons, and be sure you still follow the school dress code! Also make sure to check out the Costume Contest that will be happening in the cafeteria during lunch! Show up ready to participate or vote! On top of that there will be even more fun activities happening around campus, such as spooky coloring pages and make your own handprint bat! Stay spirited and GO CREEK!
Aurora Theme Suggestions: We want your input on the 2023 Aurora Borealis dance theme! Share your ideas at this link https://bit.ly/3Vkv6mR. It will be open from Monday October 24th to Friday November 4th.
Seniors~ Do you need help with your UC or CSU college applications? The counselors will be holding an application workshop in the library during Pack Period on October 31st, November 1st, and November 7th. There will be additional opportunities for your counselor to help you with any guidance you may need with your college applications. Remember that the UC/CSU applications are due November 30th. Don't wait until the last minute to turn in these applications or to ask for help!
AP Exam Fees: The deadline to pay for Fall and Year long AP exams is Tuesday November 1st. Spring semester AP exams will have a seperate deadline in the Spring. You can pay on the web store using your AP classroom class code or drop off a check made out to Woodcreek High School at the finance window. If you have any questions see Mr. Harvey in room 421 or email sharvey@rjuhsd.us.
Attention Seniors ~ Class of 2023: The personal finance course is a GRADUATION REQUIREMENT and you will need to finish it before May. Now that the course is up and running on Canvas, you will have to complete all 4 modules with a passing score on the unit quizzes, then sign up for a time Wednesdays after school in room 123 through the google form link in Canvas. You need to take the final exam in person to pass the course. If you have any questions, see Mr. Shiro in room 123.
Senior Portraits: All seniors must make an appointment with Prestige Portraits to get their official photo in the Woodcreek High School yearbook. Book your appointment TODAY! You can choose any photographer for additional photos, however, if you wish to be in the WHS Lykos yearbook you must schedule an appointment with Prestige to get your senior yearbook photo taken. Prestige will have a WHS Cap/Gown/Tassel for your use.

Athlete of the Week: The Athlete Of The Week from football is Trent Herbert! Trent is a 3-year varsity starter and letter winner, and he serves as a team captain this year. Trent earned 2nd Team CVC in 2021. He has shown steady, fast and solid leadership this season, and has been one of the many anchors on the offensive line. He has shown great character and attitude throughout his career. He is an amazing young man that his coaches feel fortunate to have as a part of their program. Congrats to Trent, and Go Creek!!
Boys Soccer Tryouts will be held: Mon Oct 31st, Tue Nov 1st, and Wed. Nov 2nd; ALL THREE DAYS will be from 3:30 to 5:30PM on the grass soccer field. If you need more information it can be found at:

Boys Basketball Tryouts: If you are interested in trying out for any level of Boys Basketball, practice (tryouts) begin on Tuesday November 1st. You must be cleared to participate through the Woodcreek Home Campus, and you must be academically eligible. For more details on clearances or practice information, see Coach Hibbs in the Boys PE office.
Girls Basketball Tryouts: Tryouts for ALL LEVELS will start on Tuesday, November 1st from 4:00-7:00pm in the small gym. Student-athletes MUST BE CLEARED in order to try out!

Rosie the Riveter Club - Come build with us on November 2nd after school in room 310. For this event we will be building wooden holiday trees. All supplies are provided and everyone is welcome, no power tool experience needed. RSVP by visiting bit.ly/Rosietree or scanning the QR code on flyers around campus.
Club of the Month: November's club of the month is Islami Afghan Culture Club! This club has been working so hard to be involved in our upcoming Fiestaval. They are going to have multiple tables of food, and they will also demonstrate kite making. They will be performing Afghan dances and will share cultural clothing with us. This group is INCREDIBLY involved in the community! Last year they distributed clothes and housewares to dozens of refugee families from Afghanistan. They meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 am in room 122. If you have any questions feel free to ask Mrs. Edmisten. Go Creek!
Yoga Calm: The Wellness Center is hosting Yoga Calm in the Library Friday’s during PACK PERIOD. Open to ALL students. No need to sign up just show up, hope to see you there!
