Woodcreek MTB Team Parent & Student Meeting TONIGHT (9/21) at 6:00pm in room 507. 


Nature and Wildlife Club (officially known as Science Club) is recruiting members. We do weekly outings in the WHS Nature Center, consisting of birding, nature photography, and other related activities. Our meetings take place TODAY at 3:30pm in Room  503. Hispanic Heritage Month:  Happy Hispanic Heritage month! Our next lunch time activity is on the 29th. This week’s highlighted Hispanic figure is Tejano singer Selena Pérez. Selena’s music and fashion made her one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the 20th Century.  She contributed to the rise in Latin music’s popularity in America. Celebrate the Hispanic culture with us!


Homecoming Guest Bids Available in Student Services:  Do you plan to bring a non-Woodcreek guest to our Homecoming Dance?  If so, you will need to apply for a Guest Bid.  Grab your Guest Bid form from the Attendance Office; complete and submit the form along with the $5 fee before Friday, September 23rd at 3:45 pm in order to request permission for your guest to attend.  ALL GUESTS MUST COMPLETE THE ONLINE DANCE CONTRACT FORM TO BE APPROVED. Students CLEAR YOUR FINES if you want to bring a guest!  See Mr. Padilla if you have questions about Guest Bids.


Homecoming Dance: YOU MUST READ THIS MUST KNOW INFORMATION AND COMPLETE THE DANCE CONTRACT ON THE LAST SLIDE BEFORE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23RD.  No dance contract by 9/23 = No dance.  Review the slideshow and complete your contract today!


Homecoming Spirit  Days Next Week!  Homecoming is right around the corner and we have some awesome spirit days coming up! Monday 9/26 will be New York day, so wear your I❤NY attire or fancy clothing! Tuesday 9/27 is Western day, so throw on your cowboy hats, boots, and flannels! Wednesday 9/28 is Mardi Gras day so wear your class colors, (Pink:Seniors, Purple:Juniors, Green:Sophomores, and Yellow:Freshmen) and don't forget your beads! Thursday 9/29 is Take me to Rio so wear tropical attire, sunglasses, or flip flops! Finally, Friday 9/30 is our unity day! Wear white to show you support the Pack on campus and off! Let's make Homecoming awesome and ELEVATE our spirit the entire week to get those spirit points! Go  Creek!


Webstore Pickups **CHANGE**  If you have purchased items on the Webstore, please come to the Student Store in the Cafeteria THIS WEEK during lunch TODAY (9/21) or Friday with your receipt to pick up your items.  AFTER THAT, ITEMS WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP ON WEDNESDAYS DURING LUNCH IN THE CAFETERIA STUDENT STORE.  Contact Ms. Bair at with questions. 


Class of 2023 ~ Senior Signature collection is happening NOW through September 30th! Please submit your signature to be placed under your senior portrait in the yearbook. Visit the table OUTSIDE the Assistant Principal’s door by the black security gates to pick up your index card and submit your signature. Signatures are due by September 30th! Any questions - see Ms. Weidkamp in room 304. 


PSAT is Tuesday, October 25th ~ Attention ALL Juniors;  If you are interested in taking the PSAT registration is now open for the test given on 10/25.  Please sign up at the Finance Window or online at the WHS Webstore.  The deadline for Juniors to sign up is Friday, September 23rdAll Sophomores will take the PSAT and  do not have to sign up as they are already registered and paid for by the district.  Any questions, please see Mr. Hayes in rm. 127.


Attention Class of 2023: The fall Senior Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 12th at 10:15 a.m. in the WHS Theatre.  We will be talking about important Graduation Information. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can stop by Ms. Souza’s desk in the Assistant Principal’s office starting October 13th. 


Lock it or Lose it:  Please keep your Bicycle, Scooter, Skateboard safe and lock them up everyday. DO NOT leave bikes/scooters overnight or lock them to a gate. Skateboard lockers are located outside the main office. 


College & Career:  


Boise State and Portland State are coming to Woodcreek! Students can come to the College & Career Center during PACK on Monday 09/26 to meet with our Boise State rep and on Tuesday 09/27 to meet with our Portland State rep. Both of these out of state schools offer huge tuition discounts to CA students. Feel free to bring a friend - see you there!




Athlete of the Week:  The Athletes Of The Week from Cross Country are Tyler Gee and Angela Gladysh. Tyler is a 4 year senior and led the Timberwolves at the Lowell Invitational in San Francisco last Saturday. Tyler is a 3 year varsity athlete and we are looking forward to starting off our league meets this week at Maidu. Angela is a sophomore and is in her second year of Varsity for the team. Last Saturday at the Lowell Invitational, Angela led the girls team to a 9th place finish out of 24 teams scoring. The girls team was the number 2 division 2 team from this area in the Varsity races on Saturday. The girls will also open up the league meets at Maidu this Thursday with the rest of the league! Congrats Tyler and Angela and Go Creek!


 Softball will be having open workouts every Wednesday starting September 28th through the entire month of October. The Wellness Center:   


The Wellness Center: is bringing back the Anxiety Relief Group. Meetings start on Tuesday September 27th and will run weekly, from 10:45-11:45. Stop by the Wellness Center or see your Counselor to sign up or for more information! All are welcome to join.


Yoga Calm: The Wellness Center is hosting Yoga Calm in the Library Friday’s during PACK PERIOD.  Open to ALL students.  No need to sign up just show up, hope to see you there!
