► General News & Information:
Aurora Borealis Dance Tickets will be sold TODAY and January 27th & 28th $15.00 for everyone. Tickets are sold during lunch only (cash or check) or tickets can be purchased online at https://store.5starstudents.com/woodcreek
Dance Bids to Aurora Borealis Dance have been opened to Senior and Junior students only. Dance bids are DUE THURSDAY, JANUARY 27th by 3:00 pm. No exceptions will be made. You can download the dance bid and contract from the School Dances page on the WHS Website under the activities tab and click on School Dances page.
Attention Woodcreek: Due to COVID restrictions we have to limit the number of students attending the Aurora Basketball game on Friday. If you have an All Access Pass you will have to reserve your ticket ahead of time in order to attend. A Google Form will be emailed out directly after school, the first 50 students to complete the Google Form will be given a ticket to the game. If you receive a ticket you must present your All Access Pass at the door to enter the game.
Aurora Borealis Spirit Days! Earn spirit points for your class all next week by dressing up each day! Thursday is Celebrity Day. Friday is Black with Ties Day. Get involved with your Aurora Borealis! Go Creek!

4) Get plenty of sleep

6) Eat a colorful, well-balanced diet.
California Scholarship Federation is now accepting applications. Please use the QR code below to apply. Remember to use your Fall 2021 grades ONLY. Applications are due Friday, January 28th by 3:00 pm. Late applications cannot be accepted, as per CSF bylaws. If you have questions or need help, please speak with Carlos Celio, Justine Chin or Mrs. McGrath in room 438.
Girls Basketball Special Event: The girls basketball program is hosting a special event on February 3rd called the #Mattiestrong game. The Frosh game will start at 4:00, JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00 p.m. Tickets (limited) will be sold at the door (Cash or Venmo) $8.00 adults and $5.00 for students, kids & seniors. It is a fundraiser game for a former graduate of Woodcreek HS who is currently battling cancer. Enjoy the silent auction, 50-50 raffle, prizes, Chick-Fil-A and more. Come out to support a great cause and wear something YELLOW!
Athlete of the Week: For Girls Soccer, our Athlete of the Week is Junior Ellie David. Ellie is one of our captains and was chosen for her dynamic presence on the field in any position we put her in. She was key on both wins last week. Congratulations Ellie! Go Creek!
Swimming and Diving: If you are looking for a Spring sport, Swimming might be the sport for you. Many elite athletes use Aquatic training and swimming to improve mobility and lung capacity. All those who are interested in joining the swim team, please contact Coach D'Arienzo @ cdarienzo@rjuhsd.us or stop by classroom 608 during a free PACK period to get more information. The first practice will be on February 7th, a swimming background is recommended but no experience with competitive swimming is necessary, all are welcome.
Boys Water Polo: If you plan on playing Boys Water Polo next fall, meet in Coach D'Arienzo's classroom after school on Thursday, January 27th for a brief informational meeting. We will go over tryout requirements and Athletic PE enrollment.
Boy's Tennis tryouts/practice will be held at the Mahany Tennis Courts behind Woodcreek HS on: February 7th from 3-5 p.m. and February 8th and 9th from 4:15-6:15 p.m.. Please contact coach Ken with any questions (916)223-0291kenstlrsfan@gmail.com
Softball conditioning will begin for all players who are interested in playing JV or Varsity. We will run conditioning on the following dates on the All Weather Field next to the Martha Riley Library. January 27th, February 1st and 3rd. Tryouts are February 7th and 8th from 3pm-5pm. Tryouts will be held on the softball fields. If the fields are wet we will host tryouts on the all weather fields. Girls Lacrosse tryouts are approaching. Tryouts will be Tuesday, February 8th and Wednesday, February 9th from 7-9pm in the Stadium. You must be cleared through the online athletic clearance prior to tryouts in order to participate.
If you are interested in learning more about Depression, join our group! You do not need to be seeing a therapist or have a diagnosis to participate, this is open to all students. This group will meet for 7 sessions, on Wednesdays from 1:30 - 2:30, and will run February 2nd through April 6th. Stop by the Wellness Center to sign-up or get more information. You can also talk to your counselor.
► Lykos Yearbook: Yearbooks can be purchased at www.woodcreekyearbook.com. Personalization and accessories are also offered and Senior Dedications are also available to purchase and submit for publishing.
