General News & Information: 

 

Congratulations! Each year, 5 Junior girls are chosen, based on their academics, character, and community involvement, for a program called Girls State. These 5 students will apply to be selected as the Woodcreek Delegate in February. The 5 Junior girls chosen for this year are: Katelyn Brockman, Jenna Burd, Grace Njuguna, Feizah Teope, and Frances Van Slyke. Please offer your congratulations this is a great honor!  

 

Senior Superlatives: All classes and faculty can nominate seniors to win superlative categories to be featured in the 2021 Lykos yearbook. Nominatations https://bit.ly/WHS21Superlatives form closes on January 8th!

 

The Woodcreek Nature Center is now accepting applications for the 21/22 school year. If you want to be a docent at the Nature Center next year you will need to complete the application form and return to K Grinsell in room 501 (kgrinsell@rjuhsd.us). You also need to sign up for the Nature Center class when you register for next year's classes. Nature Center Application

 

Back to School Night is scheduled for Thursday, January 14, 2021 via zoom.  Links for zoom classes will be posted here on January 12th.  There is NO HUB on January 14th. 

 

No School on Monday, January 18, 2021 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. 

 

 

PSAT ~ Sophomores:   The PSAT testing date for all Sophomores will be February 24, 2021 with more information to follow. Any questions please contact your counselor or Mr. Hayes in room 127 or email at phayes@rjuhsd.us. No sign up is required. 

 

SAT:  Woodcreek High School will be open as an SAT test center for two dates in the spring 2021 semester - March 13th and May 8th. If you need to take a SAT test and would like to test at Woodcreek, please register online for the test ASAP, seats are limited.

 

Looking for an opportunity to express your creative side? Well, the First Annual Woodcreek Film Festival is a great opportunity for you to do just that. All you have to do is submit a film by Monday, January 25th  in order to be able to win up to $400. There will be 5 different prizes for 5 different categories, Best Film $200, Best Acting $50, Best Script $50, Best Soundtrack $50, and Best Cinematography $50. Cross Country: Woodcreek students interested in joining the Cross Country team email Coach Castillo at acastillo@rjuhsd.us. Conditioning is every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:30. Be sure to complete your athletic clearance prior to coming out!!
