Homecoming Dance Bids Update: The Homecoming Dance is just around the corner, so we wanted to be sure you were aware of a new policy. This year, Dance Bids will only be granted for Prom and Senior Ball. Dance Bids are no longer available for Homecoming or Aurora Borealis. If you have questions, please see Mr. Padilla in the Assistant Principal's Office.
Class of 2020: The deadline to schedule & select your Senior Portrait is September 27, 2019. Schedule a NO Sitting Fee appointment by calling (916) 535-7797 and leave a message for someone to call you back to book your appointment. (No sitting fee appointments will only take 3 head shots and do not get to choose their portrait that will appear in the WHS Lykos Yearbook).Seniors who want their senior portrait to appear in the WHS Yearbook MUST make an appointment with Prestige. You can choose any photographer take additional photos for you. Please view the Graduation & Senior News page on the school’s website for important information and dates.
Picture Make-Up Day is Monday, September 16th in the Theatre Lobby. Passes will NOT be sent, students are responsible to go before school (7:15 - 7:40), during passing and after school until 2:00pm.
18 Year Old Waiver meetings will be held the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month starting in September at 7:30am in Mr. Bahner’s office.
We need Student Representatives! Do you want to make a difference and give input about Woodcreek? Join the School Site Council team! We need multiple student representatives. Student reps serve 2 year terms, and attend monthly meetings. If you are interested, please email Mrs. Bell a 3-5 sentence explanation of why you would like to join the team by Wednesday, August 21st.
Graduation Requirement! Attention Juniors and Seniors, did you know that you have to take the personal finance course online (Blackboard) to graduate? When you finish all the sections and take all the quizzes, you must take the final exam on campus. Final Exams are every Wednesday after school in room 123.
Attention Class of 2023! Freshman Sweatshirts are on sale now! Stop by room 603 to pick up an order form to get yours before the weather turns cold. Sweatshirts are $40 (or $45 with personalization). Turn your order form and money in to room 603 by August 30th to place your order.

FREE Construction Workshops: Lennar has partnered with RJUHSD to offer free construction workshops to our students! These workshops are once a month at Oakmont High from 3-5pm. Juniors who complete the workshops will qualify for a PAID summer internship, and Seniors who complete the workshops have the opportunity to earn a full-job after graduation. Learning these trades is invaluable! All grade levels welcome. The first workshop is September 25th. See Mrs. Lott to sign up ASAP!
RJUHSD Military Academy Night: If you are considering applying to one of the military academies, please attend the upcoming Military Academy Night on August 28th at Granite Bay High! The evening starts promptly at 6pm with a formal presentation in the theater, and will end with a question & answer session. See you there!
Sierra College Open House: Sierra College is hosting an open house on Saturday, September 21st from 9am-1pm. They are asking that students and families preregister. Students will have the opportunity to complete their Sierra College applications at this event! It is free to attend. Register here: Sierra College Open House

WHS Boys Soccer Preseason meeting for all students interested in the boys soccer program. The meeting is Monday August 26th from 2:00PM to 2:30PM in the large gym. More Info: http://www.woodcreeksoccer.com/BoysTeams.html
Wrestling: All students interested in competing with the Woodcreek Wrestling team this year should attend a meeting in Mr. Grantham's room (406) during lunch on Monday, August 26th.
► Clubs:
Interested in Starting a Club? The first step is to find an on-campus advisor (Teacher) for your club. Once you have secured an advisor, please ask your advisor to contact Mrs. Bair via email for the club paperwork. This year's Club Rush Day is planned for August 26th in the Quad during lunch. If your club wants to participate, all paperwork must be submitted to Mrs. Bair by Wednesday, August 21st! Get involved Timberwolves!
California Scholarship Federation is accepting applications. Please pick up an application in room 438 or on the WHS website, under the activities tab. Applications are due to Mrs. McGrath in room 438 on August 28, 2019 by 3:00 pm. Please speak with Mrs. McGrath with any questions concerning the application. Incorrect, incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
