CP Chemistry

UC/CSU D-Laboratory Science
Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in CP Biology and IM1. 
Students will study various aspects of the physical environment from a scientific perspective. Concepts studied include atomic theory, thermodynamics, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, gas laws, reaction rates, equilibrium, acid-based reactions and an introduction to nuclear and organic chemistry. Students will be expected to use basic Algebra to solve problems. This class meets the 3-year lab science recommendation by the UC.
