New Daily GBHS Athletics Check-in Protocols

GBHS Athletes and Parents,

We are communicating with all Granite Bay families and students today to share with you a new required RJUHSD policy for attendance and participation in athletics training sessions beginning on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

In our continuing effort to protect all aspects of health and safety for all athletes and coaches as we restart training sessions, RJUHSD has implemented a required online check-in process for all coaches and athletes that must be completed BEFORE 2:15 pm each day that athletes and coaches will be attending an on-campus training session. The 2:15 pm deadline is necessary to enable our staff to review all entries and communicate with coaches and programs before training sessions begin.

Each day, athletes and coaches will need to take their temperatures and complete the COVID health screening form.  If any of the answers to the screening questions are YES, then the athlete should remain home and email Athletic Director Tim Healy immediately at . Forms for both players and coaches are available on our school website. They can be found here: as well as below:

Athlete COVID health screening form - This form must be completed and submitted by 2:15pm on EVERY day there is a training session with your sport whether it is on campus or off campus.

***Failure to complete and submit this form by 2:15 PM will result in you being ineligible for the day and being sent home.

Additionally, all athletes must be cleared by GBHS Athletics and must have submitted an Assumption of Risk Waiver to their coach BEFORE participating in any school athletic activity. For more information on clearance requirements please visit:

Currently, due to poor air quality, all training sessions are cancelled for the remainder of this week.   We hope to resume athletic training sessions on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

If you have any questions about overall athletics activities please contact Athletic Director Tim Healy at, any sport-specific activities questions should be directed to the Head Varsity Coach for the sport you are inquiring about.

Thank You,

Tim Healy

GBHS Athletic Director
