Family Communication - Digital ID Cards

Good Afternoon GBHS Families,

If you received yesterday’s message regarding digital school IDs and you would like to know how to update your or your student’s mobile number, please skip to the highlighted portion. Instructions are included below. If you did not receive or have not yet read that message, please read the entire email.  Thank you.

This year we will be issuing digital ID cards to all students. Later this week, students will be receiving a text message that will be sent to the student number in Aeries with a link that will guide them through the process of creating their digital ID. Please remember that this is an official ID, and it is important for the safety of all students that the image be taken correctly and appropriately.  Guidelines for how to take a high quality and appropriate ID photo will be included in the link that will be sent out.  The image will go through an approval process by the school prior to being accepted or rejected. Please use good judgement. Any inappropriate photographs will be flagged by administration and will be addressed in accordance with school disciplinary policies.

In order to ensure that your student receives a 2020-2021 GBHS ID, please update and confirm the “Student’s Mobile” number in Aeries Homelink by Wednesday, August 19th, at 5:00PM.  If your student does not have a cell phone, a parent’s cell phone number can be used instead.  However, if your family has more than one student enrolled at GBHS, then you should use different cell phone numbers for each student.  If no one in the family has a cell phone, then an email link will be sent to you at a later date.

***To update your Student’s Mobile Number or any other contact information, PARENTS must login to HomeLink parent portal from a desktop or laptop and then go to Student Info -> Data Confirmation -> Student, there they can click on the Change button on the bottom of the page and change any information that needs to be updated. I have attached a screenshot of this window (below):
