Black History Month!

Happy Black History Month! Here's your Black History Month Moment of the week:

Black History Month celebrates the contributions, accomplishments, and perseverance of a kidnapped and enslaved population from the African Diaspora. It began as “Negro History Week,” which was created in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson, a noted African American historian, scholar, educator, and publisher. It became a month-long celebration in 1976 under the Gerald Ford Administration. The month of February was chosen to coincide with the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln. BSU knows every culture has a rich history with stories to tell and contributions to share of our global human experience.

Remember to celebrate the past and contribute to the future today!
