    SPRING 2020

    Clinical Medical Assistant

    January 14 - May 28th

    T/Th  6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. and select Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - Noon

    Tuition for Spring 2020:  $2,500

    REQUIRED:    Student Orientation must be completed prior to Registration.  Orientation for the Spring 2020 Cohort will be held at Roseville Adult School on Tuesday, November 5th at 6:30 p.m. in Room 16.

    Spring 2019 Registration will OPEN for IN- PERSON only at 200 Branstetter Street on Wednesday, November 6th until Monday, January 12th.

     Bring a copy of valid state ID, proof of high school completion, and tuition payment to reserve a seat.  We anticipate that the Spring class will be near capacity so first come will be the first students registered.

    The role of the clinical medical assistant has grown increasingly important in today’s healthcare field. Roseville Adult School will train medical assistants to perform a variety of functions to assist the physician in patient care.  Adult students will attain the educational background and practical experience necessary for successful entry level employment as a medical assistant.  Upon successful completion of this course, passing a National Exam, and completing 140 externship hours, RAS students will receive a certificate of completion for completing the training requirements for Roseville Adult School's Clinical Medical Assistant Program.

    Graduates will be able to perform tasks and better understand:

    • Body Mechanics
    • Orientation to Hospitals, Medical Centers, and Allied Health Care
    • Medical Terminology
    • Anatomy and Physiology in Health and Disease
    • Professional Issues
    • Job Seeking Skills
    • Practical Application (Required Internship at local medical facilities)

    Completion will qualify our graduates to take a certification examination for Clinical Medical Assisting offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
