    The role of the clinical medical assistant has grown increasingly important in today’s healthcare field. Roseville Adult School will train medical assistants to perform a variety of functions to assist the physician in patient care.  Adult students will attain the educational background and practical experience necessary for successful entry level employment as a medical assistant.  Upon successful completion of this course, RAS students will receive a certificate of completion for completing the training requirements for Clinical Medical Assistant.

    Graduates will be able to perform tasks and better understand:

    • Body Mechanics
    • Orientation to Hospitals, Medical Centers, and Allied Health Care
    • Medical Terminology
    • Anatomy and Physiology in Health and Disease
    • Professional Issues
    • Job Seeking Skills
    • Practical Application (Required Internship at local medical facilities)

    Completion will qualify our graduates to take an optional certification examination for Clinical Medical Assisting offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
