Online Driver's Education

Online Course 2025-2026

 

The Driver’s Education Online Course 2025-2026 is available for all district students. Students must be 15 ½ years of age, or will be before the end of the class. In addition, you must be under the age of 18. 

There is no charge for taking this course. Once the student completes the online assignments and passes the 4 practice tests they will be eligible for the final exam. It is the student's responsibility to communicate directly with the instructor to coordinate the final test. 

Things to know before signing up: 

  • The class is self paced through Canvas 
  • You will only have one opportunity to take advantage of this free course
  • WE DO NOT OFFER BEHIND THE WHEEL TRAINING 
  • A “Pink slip” will be issued upon completion of the course requirements which will qualify the student to take a written driving test and ultimately acquire a driver’s permit - it can be picked up at Independence High School located at 125 Berry Street Roseville, CA
