Mrs. Melisa Elko
Mrs. Melisa Elko is a dedicated educator with over 25 years of experience teaching at Woodcreek High School. She has taught various subjects throughout her career, but her primary focus has been on Speech & Debate and Child Development. As the director of Woodcreek's speech and debate program, which is affiliated with the Capitol Valley Forensic League, California High School Speech Association, and National Speech & Debate Association, Mrs. Elko has helped countless students improve their public speaking skills. Additionally, she is part of a team of teachers leading the Education Pathway program at Woodcreek's CTE Department. Although originally from Thousand Oaks, California, Mrs. Elko has called Sacramento her home since 1994. She takes pride in being a devoted wife for 24 years, a loving mother of two sons, and a happy grandmother.
