The Granite Bay High School Speech and Debate Program allows students to develop and perfect their analytical skills while meeting new people and having fun! There are three courses offered: Public Speaking, Competitive Forensics and Philosophy in Practice.

College admission teams identify students who participate in high school speech and debate competition as among the most desirable candidates for admission and scholarships. It is not surprising that past GBHS speech and debate captains find themselves as successful students at Stanford, University of Pennyslvania, University of Chicago, UCLA, USC, and Harvard. Speech and Debate is a class and an academic team that can serve as a meaningful four-year high school experience.

No matter what level of speaker you are, we hope you will join us in learning to be more effective speakers and listeners.
