• Oakmont High School 5th Period

5th Period is designed as a time slot at the end of the school day to support the academic needs of struggling students.  Students can walk-in or may be referred by a teacher to attend.  5th Period will be available to students on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the OHS Library from 2:45 - 4:30.  This intervention time will be supported by counselors, teachers, administrators, and student tutors.  Students will be able to access school computers, course textbooks and library resources.

Student walk-ins will be accepted with the understanding that this time is designed as an educational opportunity and not a social meeting place.  Students who are referred to 5th Period will be expected to complete the assignment for which they were sent.

5th Period is not intended as a punitive response to academic difficulties, but rather to support the academic needs of our students to the best of our abilities.  All students will be expected to sign in and identify the work they will complete during their time in 5th Period.
