2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR TRANSFERS
The following schools will be open for transfers for the 2024-25 school year:
- Antelope High School
- Granite Bay High School
- Oakmont High School
- Pathways High School
- Roseville High School
- Woodcreek High School
West Park High School is closed to all transfers for the 2024-25 school year. Exceptions: RJUHSD will review transfer applications to West Park for students who have a sibling attending West Park during the 2024/2025 school year. The sibling must be an active student at West Park during the 2024/2025 school year. In addition to this, RJUHSD will review transfer applications for current West Park students who have moved outside of WP boundaries and wish to continue their enrollment at West Park.
From November 15 to December 20, 2023, the Initial Intradistrict Transfer Application Window for the 2024-25 School Year will be open. This window is for INTRAdistrict transfers ONLY. Intradistrict transfers are for students living within the RJUHSD boundaries who wish to transfer from their school of residence to another school within the district. Applications received during this period will undergo processing in January 2024. Decision letters will be sent to families via email by February 2024. Please be sure to check your email, including your spam folder for correspondence from InformedK12. All decisions will be emailed by February 15, 2024.
IMPORTANT: If you are requesting an INTRAdistirct transfer, you must still complete the Aeries online enrollment under your current home address and the school associated with it. The online enrollment system is designed to place you at your school of residence and, if the transfer is approved, the Registrar at the receiving/transfer school will pull your online enrollment accordingly to the approved site of attendance for 2024-2025.
RJUHSD will make a link available on November 15, 2023, for OUTGOING interdistrict transfer applications. This type of application is for families who live within RJUHSD boundaries and are requesting to leave RJUHSD to attend a school in a different district.
From December 21, 2023, to June 30, 2024, we will have an extended application window for BOTH Intradistrict and Interdistrict Transfers for the 2024-2025 School Year. The review of these extended window applications will commence after February 15th, when the initial intradistrict transfer application evaluation window is completed. Please allow 3-4 weeks after you have submitted a completed transfer application for a response from the transfer office.
TYPES OF TRANSFERS
Intradistrict transfers are for RJUHSD students who wish to transfer from their school of residence to another school within the District.
- All Intradistrict transfer requests must be submitted online!
- Incoming 9th-grade students or new students to RJUHSD must submit a proof of residence within RJUHSD, and current grade transcript/grade report, attendance, and behavior records. If the student has an IEP or 504 Plan, please attach the documentation to the online form as well.
- While we encourage students to attend their school of residence, we make other schools available for Intradistrict Transfer when enrollment space is available and there are unique and compelling circumstances.
- Parents are responsible for their student's transportation to school. RJUHSD transportation bus services will not be provided for students attending district schools on an intradistrict or interdistrict transfer.
2. INTERDISTRICT TRANSFERS (Incoming into RJUHSD)
Incoming Interdistrict Transfers are for students who reside outside of the District boundaries, but wish to transfer into the Roseville Joint Union High School District. To initiate this process, you must contact your District of Residence to begin the application process. Applications must include current grade transcripts/grade report, attendance, and behavior records and a copy of the student's current IEP or 504 Plan must also be included, if applicable. All incoming transfers must meet GPA, attendance, and behavior requirements. Parents are responsible for their student's transportation to school. RJUHSD transportation bus services will not be provided for students attending district schools on an intradistrict or interdistrict transfer.
3. INTERDISTRICT TRANSFERS (Leaving RJUHSD)
All Interdistrict outgoing transfer requests must be submitted online!
Outgoing Interdistrict Transfers are for students who reside within the District boundaries, but wish to transfer into another school district. Outgoing transfers must submit an application to the Roseville Joint Union High School District for approval prior to applying to an outside District of Residence. Please include a copy of your student's current grade transcripts/grade report, attendance, and behavior records and, if applicable, your student’s IEP or 504 plan.
*The RJUHSD does NOT require transfer renewals. Once a student is approved for a transfer, the student is able to attend the requested school for their entire high school career, as long as the student continues to meet the transfer requirements (good standing with academics, discipline, and attendance). EXCEPTION: If there is a change of residency, then a new transfer application must be completed.
