I am so excited to be at Oakmont High School this school year! I have known I wanted to be a teacher since I was three years old but didn't decide on high school English until I was a Sophomore in high school. 

I was able to start my college career at Sierra College, then off to Arizona State University, and for my teaching credential I went to Brandman University. All the schools that I attended were great and helped me get to where I am today. 

I started my teaching career in 2019. From August of 2019 to July 2021 I was teaching at East Nicolaus High School; for those of you that don't know where that is, it is between Lincoln and Wheatland.

My teaching style is described as structured while teaching to the whole student. I strongly believe that students need structure so they can succeed not only in high school but anything that they do in life after high school. And I know that teaching to the whole student, learning who they are and why they do what they do, also helps them succeed because then I am able to work with the students as a team.

That's a little bit about me! Again, I am beyond excited to be at OHS and cannot wait to see where this school year takes us!
