• Welcome back, Tigers!
This promises to be an exciting year as we bring back a student-run, professional organization to campus after a 20 year hiatus.  I encourage you to visit www.ca-fhahero-fccla.org to explore the possibilites by viewing the video from last year's State Meeting at the Riverside Convention Center where I witnessed firsthand the value of the program and its positive impact on the 600+ California students that participated.
FHA-Hero (Home Economics Related Occupations) is the California affiliate of the National Family, Community, Career and Leadership Association.  It has a century of history that has evolved into a strong leadership organization offering diverse personal growth opportunities, scholarships, community service, career exploration and competitive recognition experiences to students in middle and high school.
We will meet on collaboration Monday's at lunch in #201 to develop a vision, set goals, elect 6 officers, and prepare for regional competitions which begin in October.
There are numerous ways to be involved!  You (or you can partner) can create and maintain our Chapter Manual (yearbook/scrapbook), develop an edible campus garden, plan community outreach events, or select from over 25 competitive events to prepare for as an individual or team.
We look forward to meeting you!
