Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is rooted in my belief that the classroom should be a safe, nurturing place where emotional health and academic success are promised. This achievement requires a symbiotic relationship between the student, teacher, parents, and the surrounding community. When society places importance on our children’s education, every student can experience that they are unique, important, and capable of being anything they choose. Throughout my nineteen years as an Education Specialist, both my passion for teaching and desire to ensure that students are achieving their goals have continued to grow.

Every day that I enter my classroom, I come in with the knowledge that I must:

  1. be an exceptional listener.
  2. show patience and kindness to each student.
  3. model positive social skills and critical thinking skills.
  4. motivate my students to achieve their personal goals.
