Patrick Neff

I am at West Park because I recognize the incredible potential of this school and community.  I believe our music program should provide an experience where students continually work toward their highest potential, and thereby develop and hone strong musicianship and personal character.  At West Park I teach Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Piano.

Prior to West Park, I was the Director of Instrumental Music at Rosemont High School in Sacramento for 5 years.  I graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2015 with a Masters in Music Education, where I studied conducting with Dr. Eric Hammer.  In 2013, I graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelors in Music Education, where I studied percussion with Dr. Pius Cheung.  As a performer, I have been a part of the New Hammer Concert Band and was featured as a soloist with the Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble during their 2019 Carnegie Hall tour.

I am a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society as well as the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.  I am a percussionist, pianist, and composer.  I was raised in Elk Grove, CA.

When not building our music program, I spend my time relaxing with my incredible wife, Linh, and our dog Stella.  I enjoy playing basketball and cheering for the Sacramento Kings, Oregon Ducks, and San Fransisco 49ers.

Go Panthers!
