Mr. Jason Tenner
I was born and raised in Sunnyvale, CA and attended Homestead HS. For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for Social Science and helping people. My love of academics and athletics helped mold me in my formative years and steered me into competitive athletics and a career as a teacher. Prior to beginning my career in education, I received my degree from Villanova University, where I majored in Education and was a three-year starter on the football team. After college, I played football professionally with the San Francisco 49ers and the Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe. Once my athletic career concluded, I earned my Masters in Cross-Cultural Education and began my career in the classroom. Over the last 24 years, I have taught AP Euro, AP World History, AP Econ(Micro/Macro), AP Psych, Econ, Gov’t, Geography, US, World, English 9, Algebra, Computers, Health, AVID II/III, Empowerment, and African American Studies.
I'm passionate about serving others and helping my students develop connections to the campus and the curriculum. I'm excited to be a part of the staff at West Park and my family is excited to be a part of the West Park Community.
I am humbled and honored to be a Panther!
In addition to teaching, I am also the head football coach here at West Park. I'm excited to share what I have learned with West Park students and athletes, helping them maximize their potential on and off the field.
My Purpose Statement:
I lead to develop people of character. Creating community, facilitating growth, respect for others while partnering with students on their path towards self-actualization.
