Mrs. Shauna Stafford

I am here to support, challenge, and celebrate students as they pursue authentic goals, hone their unique voices, and further develop their widening worldviews.

I am in my twelfth year of teaching high school English. I have taught the full range of English classes for 9th-12th grade. I hold a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning and I’ve served as an instructional coach, personalized mastery learning consultant, professional learning specialist, and administrator. My favorite role though is being an English teacher and I’m thrilled to be back in the classroom fulltime as the English Department Coordinator.

I specifically sought out to become a Panther because I believe that West Park is set up to not only prepare students for the future, but to support students so that they thrive beyond high school in their career, family, and community lives.

I think you will quickly see that our English team has worked hard to center students in all of our planning. It is their classroom (whether through dynamic-learning or in-person-learning).

Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family outdoors and reading anything and everything I think my students might be interested in.
