Mr. Jesse Padilla

This is my 6th year at Woodcreek High School and I am excited to continue serving as Assistant Principal working with the class of 2026. My family and I relocated from the Bay Area where I worked as both an Assistant Principal and Science teacher. My teaching career began in San Leandro, CA where I taught 7th grade life science from 2009 - 2012. From there I moved to Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, CA where I taught Biology and Integrated Physical Science from 2012 - 2017. After leaving Dougherty Valley I served as Assistant Principal at West High School in Tracy, CA for the 2017-18 school year.

I grew up on the Central Coast and enjoy surfing, snowboarding, golfing and almost anything outside. Sports have always been a big part of my life, I was a High School and Collegiate wrestler, competing at UC Davis, and coached the sport for over 10 years. I am a strong supporter of athletics and credit much of my successes to the time I spent on the mat and the wisdom passed down from my coaches. As a teacher and a coach, I have been able to transition many of the skills I learned from athletics into the work with my students. I am continually striving to encourage and grow students to be their best selves just as the teachers and coaches in my life did for me.
