Mr. Jesse Padilla
This is my seventh year at Woodcreek High School, and I am honored to continue serving as Assistant Principal, particularly with the class of 2026. My professional journey includes a diverse background in education and leadership. Prior to joining Woodcreek, my family and I relocated from the Bay Area, where I held roles as both an Assistant Principal and Science teacher.
My career in education began in Davis, where I worked as a Paraeducator at a Junior High School. After receiving my teaching credential and Masters from UC Santa Barbara, I taught 7th grade Life Science in San Leandor from 2009 to 2012. I subsequently moved to Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, where I taught Biology and Integrated Physical Science from 2012 to 2017. Following my tenure at Dougherty Valley, I served as Assistant Principal at West High School in Tracy, before coming to Woodcreek in 2018.
Having grown up on the Central Coast, I have a strong affinity for outdoor activities, including surfing, snowboarding, and golfing. My involvement in sports has been a significant influence on my career. As a collegiate wrestler at UC Davis, and with over a decade of coaching experience, I attribute much of my success to the discipline and insights gained from my athletic experiences. I integrate these skills into my work with students and staff while striving to foster their growth and development in the same way that my teachers and coaches guided me.
Woodcreek in a special place and I am honored to serve the students, staff and families of this community.
