Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Danielle Buljan
Danielle Buljan is currently in her 10th year of teaching and has experience in 7th-11th grade. It is her fourth year at Oakmont, and she also taught at Granite Bay and Antelope High Schools. Before that, she taught 7th and 8th grade at Douglass Middle School in Woodland, California. This year, she is teaching English 9 and Honors 10.
She has wanted to teach English since she was in high school, and is excited to have accomplished that goal. She attended Chico State, and has a bachelor’s degree in English Education. Danielle also has a master’s degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in teaching. This is her passion—she loves what she does and is excited to be at OHS. She wouldn’t have it any other way. She encourages her students to start thinking about what their passions are-- Life is easier when a person loves what he or she does.
For fun, Danielle loves to spend time with her family, to travel, to be by water and to read. Reading is primarily the reason she became an English teacher. It has always been something she has loved and when she was younger, it was her dream to help others feel the same way that she does when they open a book. In her opinion, being able to read well is the key to success and can open many doors for someone. She has two boys, Dominik who is four and DJ who is one. She loves being a mom and her boys are her pride and joy.
