Bachelor of Arts Art Education from PLNU
Brad Cordell
I have been teaching Art, Ceramics, and AP Art History in the RJUHSD for over 20 years. My wife is a teacher, and my three boys graduated from WHS. I love to spend free time with my family and friends, painting and sculpting, and enjoy reading, traveling, and visiting art museums.
I believe that all students are capable of developing their creativity. Art classes help you develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. Sign up for an Art or Ceramics class to restore balance and relaxation in your daily life, while developing sophisticated and meaningful works of art.
All of the following courses are approved for “F” VAPA credit. Course Catalog
Art 1 (Grades 9-12) - a drawing and painting course for beginners as well as experienced artists.
Ceramics 1 (Grades 9-12) - pottery and hand-building sculpture for beginners as well as experienced artists.
Ceramics 2 (Grades 10-12) - advanced course to develop creativity and skills.
AP Art History (Grades 11-12) - a college-level course with no prerequisite and no art background required. Students must have the desire to learn about the art and architecture of cultures from around the world. This course prepares students for the College Board AP Art History exam in May.
