I started studying French as a freshman in high school and really fell in love with the language when I spent my senior year in France as an exchange student through AFS.  I continued my education at UC Davis, receiving my BA in both French and English in 1991 and then my teaching credential the following year.

 I started my teaching career in the Roseville High School district in 1992 at Oakmont High School where I taught both English and French.  I transferred to Woodcreek High School after two years because I wanted to create and develop the French program there.  After three years there, I decided to make one more move and come to Granite Bay High School.  I have been teaching here since 1997.

I am proud of the French program that we have built here.  We offer French 1, 2, 3, Honors French 4, AP French and IB French and I have taught all levels.  Our students leave the program with skills that allow them to effectively communicate in French in the real world.
