Ms. Whaley is currently in her 24th year as a special eduction teacher with fourteen years in the disctrict and eleven at Woodcreek High School.  Ms Whaley works with students to support them in their general education classes as well as progressing on their IEP goals.  Ms. Whaley began her teaching career in the Sacramento City Unified School District with middle school students and has also served as head of the department and as a Vice Principal of special education for five years in this district.   Ms. Whaley is passionate about supporting students in their endeavor to build skills necessary to be successful in the academic and social realm.  Her curriculum and strategies motivate students in their pursuit to become ready for the general education curriculum.  Ms. Whaley is easily approachable and welcomes parent support.  She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, zumba, hiking and ropes courses.
