This is my 6th year in the district (5 years at Woodcreek) and I'm blessed to have landed at the amazing West Park High School.  I'm a Bay Area transplant , and moved here couple years ago with my wife Mrs. Snider (who teaches at Woodcreek). I taught in Marin for 9 years after I graduated in 2005 from Chico Sate where I majored in Mathematics Education.  I earned my credential from Sonoma State University in 2007 and have been immersed in teaching ever since.

I've taught all levels of math from Pre-Algebra up to Pre-Calculus.  What we are doing here at West Park though, is something I've been wanting to do since I got into teaching: writing curriculum with teachers who share the same passion of creating expert learners and making math instruction interactive. 

My wife and I enjoy getting out into the great outdoors whenever we can.  The summer of 2014 & 2015 we backpacked the Jonh Muir Trail (140 miles in '14 and 200 miles in '15).  She's a trooper!  We took our daughter (Autumn, 2 yrs) on her first backpacking trip in July. Not a lot of sleep happened, but she loved 'skipping' rocks and peeing in the dirt. We live about 10 min east of Auburn and are only half an hour from the high country and all the trails, lakes and peaks to go with them.
