About Mrs. Castillo: I grew up in Panama City, Panama. I am a native Spanish speaker and learned to speak English when I moved to Georgia in 1995. 

I love teaching Spanish because you get to see how quickly the students progress in their language learning. it's incredible to be part of this process and see how excited the students get when they can actually have conversations in Spanish

Learning a second language is so important because it opens your mind to ways of thinking you might not have used before, and it helps you understand your primary language that much more. 

In my spare time I enjoy coaching XC and track at Woodcreek, running, playing sports and spending time with my family.
