B.A. Social Science, Sacramento State ('98) CA Single Subject Teaching Credential, Sacramento State ('99)
Chad Cook
I have taught the Social Sciences at the secondary level for 22 years, including 12 years at Antelope High. My experience includes teaching World Studies, U.S. History, Government, Economics, A.P. Government, and A.P. European History. I enjoy teaching young people the importance of studying history and becoming critical thinkers. By studying history, I hope they understand how they can positively affect the world they live in now and in the future.
I attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo for my first 3 years of undergraduate studies, before graduating with a B.A. in Social Science and Single Subject Teaching Credential from Sacramento State. I have attended hundreds of hours of professional development conferences over the past two decades, including A.P. Institutes for European History, Government, and Human Geography.
Outside of the teaching profession, I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my wife of 22 years, and my two daughters. We love to hike, mountain bike, camp, fish, gold prospecting, and backpacking.
