Mr. Kevin Tellefson

Kevin Tellefson has been a special education teacher since 1993.  He worked at a few high schools in the Sacramento vicinity before settling into his current teaching position at Oakmont High School.  He began teaching as a special day class teacher before transitioning to the role of an RSP teacher.  As an SDC teacher, his focus was on developing basic skills in reading, writing, and math, with an additional emphasis on developing his students' independent living skills.  As an RSP teacher, his focus has been on improving his students' basic skills in reading, writing, and math, so they have the opportunity to successfully access the mainstream curriculum.  Within the special education department, he has taught Academic Lab A, Academic Lab B, and Academic Lab C. Currently, Kevin's job title is an Education Specialist.

Kevin is married with two boys.   During his free time, he enjoys reading, playing golf, an occasional ride on his bike or motorcycle, and engaging in leisure activities with his wife and two boys.  He has been an avid Kings and Red Sox fan for over 30 years. During his summers, he enjoys his yearly jaunt to Santa Cruz in addition to his family's primary vacation that changes each year.
