Mr. Tim Moore

Coach Moore grew up near Folsom Lake in unincorporated Roseville, now called Granite Bay, CA, and attended Oakmont High School ('91). After earning his degree in Kinesiology from Westmont College in Montecito, CA, he returned to Roseville to teach and coach. Prior to coming back to Oakmont High School as an educator, he taught and coached one year at Victory Christian High school and 3 years at W.T. Eich and Buljan middle schools. In the fall of 2000 he accepted a teaching position in mathematics and coaching positions for baseball and football at Oakmont High School. In 2004 he received the "RJUHSD Distinguished Teacher" award and in 2020 was named Oakmont's "Teacher that Makes a Difference". In 2009, Coach Moore accepted the position of head football coach and transitioned into the physical education department to teach weight traning and conditioning, advanced weight training and conditioning and athletic physical education. In the Spring of 2020 Coach Moore accepted the position as Varsity Boys Golf coach. Most recently he accepted the challenge to lead Oakmont's Athletics Department as the Athletic Director. 

Coach Moore raised two sons that also attended Oakmont HS. His oldest son, Tanner (2016), graduated from Caltech (2020) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Aerospace. Tanner has since started his career with Northrop Grumman and currently lives in Northridge, CA. His youngest son, Casey (2018), is a musician living in Portland, OR pusuing his love for song writing, composing, playing multiple instraments and singing. Seven years to the day after meeting his best friend and love of his life, he and his now wife Julie were married at their home surrounded with immediate family and a few of their closest friends. Beyond spending time with family and friends, Coach Moore loves the water. If he's not teaching, coaching or maintaining his home, he is most likely crusing the Sacramento River on his boat or enjoying an early morning ski on Folsom Lake or Clementine Lake when Tanner visits. Other hobbies include camping, fishing, mountain biking, smoking meats and attending college football games in which his former players are competing in.
