Samantha Howard has been the theatre arts teacher at Oakmont High School since 2004. She has also been serving as the theatre coordinator and manager of Oakmont's 325 seat theatre since 2005. During that time, she has directed over 40 main stage and original productions, many of which have been recognized with Elly awards through SARTA (Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance) and medals at the renowned Lenaea Theatre Festival, as well as the National Shakespeare Competition. Former students who graduated from her program have gone on to work off-off-Broadway, in the film industry, and as performers at Disneyland.
When she isn't teaching or mounting a new production, she spends her time with her favorite people: her husband and five children. Together they love to travel, create art, exercise, learn, go to the theatre, watch and make movies, play with their goldendoodle, Sully, and above all, laugh as much as possible.
