Mr. Kelly Bohren

Coach Bohren grew up near Folsom Lake in unincorporated Roseville, now called Granite Bay, CA, and graduated from Oakmont High School . After earning his degree in Communication / emphasis Media Production from California State University Sacramento, he began working for Channel 10 News as an Editor. His career continued in the Video Production and Media Field for over 15 years, working for ESPN, Fox News, Fox Sports, CBS News, Discovery TV, HGTV and at UC Davis Hospital for a TV show called "Pulse"  During his time at "Pulse", he earned two Regional National Emmy Awards for

  • Outstanding Achievement: Camera Program “Pulse – Autism”
  • Outstanding Achievement: Informational Program “Pulse” in 2001

He then returned to the Roseville area as a substitute teacher before becoming a full-time educator in 2006 with a teaching credential in Industrial Technical Education.  In 2008 and 2017, he was named Oakmont's "Teacher that Makes a Difference" and received the "Award for Excellence" in 2013.

Coach Bohren has coached soccer in the Roseville area since 2006 and started coaching Oakmont Girls Soccer in 2015.  He has also served as the Track and Field Head Coach and accepted the position of the Girls Golf coach in the Fall of 2022.

Coach Bohren, who is the instructor for the "Arts, Media & Entertainment Pathway" Media Productionm, teaches the sequence of courses of:

  • Introductory - Media 1
  • Concentrator - Media 2
  • Capstone - Media 3

While teaching for the Roseville Joint Union High School District, Mr. Bohren has taught Media Productions, Web Design, 2D and 3D Animation, Construction and International Baccalaureate Film Courses.
