Mrs. Wendy Cox
Mrs. Wendy Cox has been teaching in the Family & Consumer Science Department at Oakmont High School since 2003. She has taught all of the FACS courses that are offered including Intro to Food & Bev, Culinary Techniques, Advanced Culinary and Child Development. Mrs. Cox currently runs Tiny Vikes, Oakmont's on-campus preschool, as part of the Child Development Career Technical curriculum. She also managed Oakmont's student-run restaurant, Cafe La Bleu, for 5 years to provide Career Technical experience for Advanced Culinary students. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Cox has been involved in other areas on campus including CTE Department Coordinator, class advisor, club advisor, and various catering jobs for school events.
Mrs. Cox is married with one son and a step-son and lives in Rockliln. She enjoys creating a healthy lifestyle for herself and family through cooking, baking, exercise, home improvements and gardening. She also likes to share her passions with the community by teaching cooking classes for a women's group at a local church and working for the CA HECT Education Department as a Child Development workshop presenter.
