Ms. Nicole Haynes
Nicole Haynes is a member of the English Department. After her graduation from Chico State, she completed her student teaching at Oakmont in 2005, and she has been here ever since! Ms. Haynes has taught a range of classes in the English Department including College Preparatory English 9-12, intervention/support for grade 9, ERWC English 12, and Credit Recovery English courses during the summer. She has also taught AVID and Student Government. Ms. Haynes loves working with students and helping them learn and grow as young adults; she enjoys teaching, being involved in school programs and activities, and supporting students in their current and future endeavors.
As an English teacher, Ms. Haynes does not have a lot of spare time for hobbies, unless you count grading papers as a hobby! Still, she prefers to spend time relaxing at home or catching up with friends. Ms. Haynes likes to be outside; she especially loves being out on the water in her boat and introducing her friends and their kids to new watersports. Ms. Haynes managed to travel to several countries and live in England and Australia during college, and she hopes to be able to add to her list of places she's been!
