BA-English Single Subject Teaching Credential - English
Michelle John
Ms. John graduated from the University of Pacific with a Bachelor’s degree in English. She continued with her studies after graduating from UOP and earned a single-subject English credential from Sacramento State University. She began her teaching career in 1995, but she has been teaching at Oakmont High School since 2001. Throughout her career, she has taught English at all grade levels (9-12) and honors classes (Honors English 10). Her focus for the last few years has been working with freshmen and sophomores.
In addition to working with the amazing English Department at Oakmont High School, Ms. John is proud to be a member of the Oakmont High School Health Careers Academy. In the academy she works with sophomores in the Introduction to Medicine class and with seniors in the Medical Trends course.
Outside of school you will find Ms. John spending time with her family, playing her ukulele, and reading all types of literature. She loves both classic and contemporary fiction, and she is a sucker for a great mystery or suspense story that keeps her guessing.
