Mrs. Liane Baldwin
This is my 21st year in education and my 11th year as an Oakmont Viking! In my career, I have taught everything from reading intervention classes to AP and Ib courses--I even had a 9-year stint as a yearbook adviser, which I truly loved.
Throughout my teaching career, I have had many opportunities to serve in professional development capacities. I have been a Trainer of Trainers, I have served on the DWA/DCA teams, I have co-chaired WASC committees, I have served in equitable educational practices cohorts, and I have worked with school districts throughout the state to provide training in ERWC. I feel very fortunate to have been given so many opportunities to work with so many amazing professionals to help to improve curriculum and instruction practices.
When I am not in the classroom or planning for school, you will likely find me in my kitchen cooking and baking for my family and friends (it's my love language). I collect cookbooks from my travels and enjoy experimenting with new recipes. I am a big believer in "bake therapy" and often find myself in the kitchen making cookies as a way to relieve the stresses of the day. Not surprisingly, I am also an avid reader; I always have a book or two going -- usually one fiction and one non-fiction, and I am always looking for new works that I can use in my classroom either as a resource for a lesson or as a book recommendation for my students.
