Lorri Perkins began as a classroom teacher in 1984 in Nickerson, Kansas, and has been at Oakmont since 1999. Lorri spent seven years as a classroom teacher before becoming a high school counselor. Lorri was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas and relocated to California in 1986. Lorri earned her Bachelor of Science in Education, and teaching credential from Emporia State University, Emporia, KS and Master of Science in Educational Counseling from National University, Sacramento, CA. 

Lorri is the proud mother of four adult children, and one grandson.  In her spare time, Lorri enjoys camping, swimming, being active, and spending time with her family and friends. Lorri is an avid Forty-niner, SF Giants, and Kansas City Chief fan. During “March Madness” she can be seen and heard cheering on her favorite team, the Kansas Jayhawks. “Rock Chalk Jayhawks!!”
