Maria Pitts
Born and raised in Tracy, CA. My parents and family are originally from Spain. I have traveled to and lived in Spain to get to know my family and immerse myself in the culture. I have also traveled extensively throughout Europe. I attended and graduated from Tracy High School.
I attended and graduated from the University of California, Davis with a double major in Spanish and International Relations. I moved to San Francisco and worked in the private sector for a few years. I worked for an Investing Banking Firm as a Research Analyst. After this time, I decided to become a teacher. I attended and graduated from National University with a Single Subject Credential for Spanish and CLAD Certified. I started teaching at Gunderson High School in San Jose in 1996. In 1998, I started teaching at Roseville High School and have been here ever since. I currently teach Spanish 2 and 3.
I am married and have two children. My daughter graduated from UCLA in 2021 and my son graduated from UC Davis in 2023. In my spare time I enjoy reading, exercising, and traveling.
