I graduated in 1990 with a B.A.A. in Spanish Teaching from the University of Minnesota - Duluth (UMD). I split my educational experiences between the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses of the University of Minnesota, as well as Spain and Mexico. Even though I graduated from UMD, I still view myself as a GOLDEN GOPHER!Ski-U-Mah!
I started my teaching and coaching career in Hibbing, Minnesota. After seven years in cold Minnesota, I moved to warmer California to be closer to family. Roseville High School has been my home since 1998. Besides teaching, I also coach cross country and am the advisor for the Fearless Christian Club at Roseville.
Along with teaching, I also served in the Army National Guard for 28 years. I was a bassoonist/clarinetist with the 47th Infantry Division, 34th Infantry Division., and the 59th Army Bands until my retirement in 2013.
When I am not at RHS, I am usually spending time with my wife, Julie, and our three children, Rebekah, Rachel, and Samuel.
