Mr. Koutney grew up in Fair Oaks, CA and graduated Bella Vista High School in 2005.  Attending both Sierra College and American River College between 2009-2012, Mr. Koutney began working profesisonally as a Trombonist in the Sacramento area as well was the Bay area.  Mr. Koutney attended UCLA from 2012-2015 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in Trombone Performance and Music Education while also earning a Single-Subject Teaching Credential in Music.  Mr. Koutney continues to work professionally as a Trombonist and a Conductor in addition to teaching Marching/Symphonic Band and Piano Classes here at RHS.
