Mr. Larry Cunha

Hello,  I have taught and coached at Roseville High School since 1988.  Coaching and Teaching have been my passion; for more than 30 years.  I have 31 years of teaching experience and 33 years of coaching experience.  I have been Roseville High Schools' Head Varsity Football coach since 1992.  I am the second longest tenured head football coach, at one high school, in the greater Sacramento area.  I have coached high school football for 33 seasons.  I have held the following coaching/athletic positions at Roseville High School: Head Varsity Football Coach, Assistant Varsity Football Coach, Head Freshman Football Coach, Head Track Coach, Assistant Track Coach, Assistant Wrestling Coach, Assistant Athletic Director and Interim Athletic Director.  Some of the classes that I have taught include: Weight Training, Athletic PE, PE-9, PE-10, Elective PE, Economics, Government, Applied Economics, US History & World Studies.

My approach, be it in the class room or on the playing field, is simple and direct: set high standards and expectations and then work as hard as possible to exceed those standards and expectations.  Work ethic, discipline, honesty, integrity, commitment and a good sense of humor are characteristics that I want our students and student-athletes to learn , develop, demonstrate and exhibit.  When I am not working on behalf of Roseville Football and Roseville High School, I spend time with my family.

Coaching & Teaching Recognitions:  Optimist All Star Head Coach; Assistant Optimist All Star Coach; National Football League, High School Coach of the year Finalist; National Football Foundation, Sacramento Chapter Distinguished Coaching Award; Sierra Foothill League Coach of the Year; Sierra Foothill League Football League Representative; Capital Valley Conference Football League Represenative; Teacher that Makes a Difference (twice).
