 LIVE...LAUGH...LOVE...LEARN

Mrs. Erb started Peer Helping at R.H.S. in 2007.

She has been educating students for over 30 years.

She hopes to motivate them to become all they are meant to be.

Valerie Erb has helped many young people through her roles as a credentialed teacher, public speaker, workshop facilitator & trainer, advisor, substance abuse educator, support group leader  and youth leader.  She is candid about the struggles she faced throughout her own childhood and teen years, and how she overcame many obstacles to move on to better things. She imparts to each life she touches the hope of being restored from the inside out. Valerie holds a B.A. in English and a Master’s in Educational Leadership in Administration. She has many years of public speaking experience.  She is trained in Peer Helping Education, Conflict Management, Peer Assistance Leadership, Substance Abuse Education, Asset Development, Subtle Attributes Screening, Rape Crisis Intervention, TEG & TAP Education , SAFE Schools Coordination, Multicultural Education Training, and Violence and Anger Management. Many years ago while working in Butte County, she used all of her former experience and training to write the curriculum for Inside Out Peer Helping.  She loves teaching and has never met a student that she did not like.  Most of all, she is passionate about lifting up young people and the adults who work with them.

"How wonderful it is that NOBODY need wait a single moment

before starting to improve the world."
