I was born in Santa Clara, California and grew up in the South Bay Area.  I relish building things, reading things, and sliding around on things (like skis, wakeboards, and snowboards). When I am not with my family or friends enjoying these activiites, I am travelling or golfing or gardening or spending time with students interpreting literature or figuring out how to get them matched with college and career resources. I have been teaching since 1991 and joined the RHS staff in 2002.
