MyAccount Registration
All staff and students should complete their RJUHSD account registration through myaccount.microsoft.com. If a password is forgotten or needs to be changed, this is where that can be done. However, for a password reset, the account needs to be registered and have two-factor authentication set up.
*This is not the same two-factor authentication used for Google.
Registration & Two-Factor Authentication
1. Open up the myaccount.microsoft.com portal.
- On a district Chromebook connected to the internet, click the Apps button in the bottom left-hand corner of the login screen. In the menu, select My Account.
- Alternatively, you can visit myaccount.microsoft.com in a web browser instead.
2. Once the webpage loads, enter your district email in the text input field labeled "Email or phone" and select the Next button.
- For students, the standard email format is:
firstName.lastName@student.rjuhsd.us

3. On the new page with the RJUHSD logo, enter your current account password in the Password text input field and select the Sign in button.
- For students, the default password is your unique six-digit student ID number found in you or your parent/guardian’s Aeries dashboard.
4. Continue through any following dialogues, selecting the highlighted blue buttons to continue.

5. On the "Keep your account secure" page, choose a preferred two-factor authentication method:
- Microsoft Authenticator App - Click "Next" on the Microsoft Authenticator prompt and follow the instructions.
- Verification text message - Click "I want to set up a different method", and select the following Text Message option.
- Security Questions - Click "I want to set up a different method", and select the following Security Questions option.
